SiteBadge.com Security in Windows Vista

The default security setup of the new Windows Vista is much tighter than any other Microsoft operating system including Windows XP. This extra security causes the SiteBadge security system to fail. In order to access your account from Vista, you need to launch Internet Explorer with Administrator Rights. The SiteBadge.com security system needs to access "markers" or "unique configuration parameters" that make your system different from any other computer in the world, but it needs Adminstrator priviledges to do that.

Please follow these steps BEFORE accessing the desired site:

Step 1) Right click on the Internet Explorer icon in your Quick Launch toolbar and select the "Run As Administrator" menu.

Step 2) Confirm the User Account Control popup by clicking the "Allow" button.

Step 3) Navigate to the site you want to access and follow the normal steps required to login including any SiteBadge Security Control Installation. Now that you are running as Administrator Rights, everything should work.

Remember, everytime you want to access the site, you MUST launch a new Internet Explorer instance using this technique!
